Privacy Policy

We built GotU to keep help local and respectful of your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

  • Account info: basic sign-in identifiers (Apple/Google/Email) to authenticate you.
  • ZIP code: used to show and filter tasks only within your ZIP.
  • Task content: titles, descriptions, categories, and optional compensation amount you provide.
  • Images (optional): photos you attach to tasks.
  • Usage & diagnostics (optional): crash logs and performance data to improve reliability.

How we use your information

  • To operate the app (sign-in, create tasks, browse tasks, offers, favorites).
  • To limit visibility to your ZIP code for a local experience.
  • To prevent abuse and respond to reports.
  • To improve app stability and performance.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your tasks and attached images are visible to users in your ZIP code. We may share information if required by law or to protect users and the service.

Data retention

Tasks are intended to be short-lived (~24 hours). We may retain records for security, abuse prevention, backups, and legal compliance.

Your choices

  • You can sign out anytime.
  • You can disable your account from the Profile screen.
  • You can request help by contacting vz8679553@gmail.com.

Note: If you disable your account, some information may remain in backups for a limited time.
